1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ChipInHere ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

ChipInHere is a platform that facilitates group funds by providing tools to create fund links, share them, and track payments. We do not hold, process, or manage any funds directly.

2. Description of Service

ChipInHere provides:

• Tools to create and manage group funds
• Shareable links for collecting funds
• Dashboard to track payment status and progress
• Export features for record-keeping
• Reminder tools for pending contributors

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of ChipInHere, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating funds
• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Not use the Service for fraudulent or deceptive activities
• Not create funds for illegal activities including but not limited to money laundering, terrorism financing, or any activity prohibited under Nigerian law
• Take responsibility for how you share your fund links
• Maintain the confidentiality of your dashboard access

4. Payment Processing

All payments made through ChipInHere are processed by third-party payment service providers. By using the Service:

• You acknowledge that ChipInHere does not process, hold, or have access to any funds
• Payment disputes should be directed to the relevant payment service provider or your bank
• Transaction fees charged by payment providers are separate from ChipInHere's services
• You agree to the terms and conditions of the payment service providers when making payments

5. Limitation of Liability

ChipInHere provides the Service "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

• Payment disputes between contributors and organizers
• Failed or delayed payments processed by third-party providers
• Misuse of funds by organizers
• Loss of data due to circumstances beyond our control
• Unauthorized access to your fund dashboard

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, ChipInHere's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) for using the Service.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use ChipInHere for:

• Fraudulent fundraising or scams
• Money laundering or terrorism financing
• Collecting funds for illegal activities
• Harassment, defamation, or abuse
• Violating any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonating others or creating fake funds

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to any fund that violates these terms or appears fraudulent without prior notice.

7. Fair Use Policy

ChipInHere is designed for genuine group funds—helping real communities pool money for weddings, burials, office collections, family support, and similar purposes. To keep the platform sustainable and fair for everyone, we enforce a fair use policy.

What We Consider Fair Use

• Personal and community group funds (e.g., weddings, burials, trips, gifts)
• Office and workplace collections
• Family support and emergency funds
• Religious and social club funds
• School and alumni fundraising

What May Trigger Review

• Creating an unusually high number of funds in a short period
• Patterns that suggest automated or commercial use
• Collecting funds for business operations or commercial ventures
• Activity that appears inconsistent with personal group funds

What Happens If We Detect Abuse

If we identify activity that violates our fair use policy, we may:

• Contact you to understand your use case
• Temporarily pause new fund creation
• Apply platform fees for continued access
• Suspend or terminate accounts in serious cases

8. Intellectual Property

The ChipInHere name, logo, and all related content, features, and functionality are owned by ChipInHere and protected by Nigerian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Service. Your continued use of ChipInHere after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of ChipInHere shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
